A seam ripper works great for this; be sure it's sharp and new.

If you use heavier threads, you might want to leave the tails long, and bury them.Diane Gaudynskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15164789327167957184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348163707540787409.post-55489365915608797562013-03-21T12:59:47.629-05:002013-03-21T12:59:47.629-05:00Do you bury your threads, or just cut them?Do you bury your threads, or just cut them?Danih03https://www.blogger.com/profile/06038011201802847978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348163707540787409.post-23020959927098580172013-03-21T08:29:26.691-05:002013-03-21T08:29:26.691-05:00What a nice tutorial! The travel areas might show up a bit more, but if that is the thread you like, go right ahead.

Variegated thread sometimes gets messy looking because the travel areas might be two colors one on top of another, probably will be two colors actually, and it starts to look a bit muddled and messy, a thread pileup.

I just quilted another sample and didn't have to stop for the photos, and it is much better. Also, I am warmed up, back in the groove, and things are going better. I had a long break for supper, and then quilted the same motif and that always works for me to build skill level. The second time is almost always much much better and easier.
DianeDiane Gaudynskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15164789327167957184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348163707540787409.post-43997688199863111812013-03-19T19:30:27.539-05:002013-03-19T19:30:27.539-05:00Thank you for yet another awesome tutorial! =)Thank you for yet another awesome tutorial! =)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348163707540787409.post-86606058099801543232013-03-19T19:12:22.238-05:002013-03-19T19:12:22.238-05:00You have always stitched beautiful bubbles.
